We have a new member of staff here at LJY-Netzer. His name is Tom and he is a Shinshin. Here he is and a bit about him!
‘Hi my name is Tom Mor, 18, from Israel. I’m from a small city called Modiin. I’m here for the next year doing the equivalent of ‘Shnat’.
I am the youngest of two siblings, an older brother who is 26. His name is OR and he is studying for his second degree at The Hebrew University Jerusalem in Philosophy and Literature. I also have an older sister called Chen, she recently married Gilad and finished her degree (also at HUJ) in International Affairs. I have a small Maltese dog named Lykka.
I play various instruments, mainly the piano and guitar and used to be part of a band names ‘Tijuana Trio’. I majored in physics and computer programming in high school.
I am from the Tzofim – The Israeli Scouts – in Israel. I have been in the Scouts since year 7, during years 11 & 12 I was a guide of two different groups and on year 13 I was in charge of all my chapters equipment, logistics and maintenance. During the Summer between years 12 & 13 I went on a summer delegation called ‘The Caravan’ performing in front of Jewish communities across the U.S.A. I love hiking and just going on trips, and hanging out with my friends.’
